Yeah...buddy! Had a nice trail run with Denise yesterday at
Kensington. Nice and warm(58deg?!). Felt great to be in the woods. I really miss being fit and training in the woods on a regular basis...its good for the mind as well as the body and I think I need that right now. Somehow I'm only about 8-10lbs over a fit weight for me and I haven't done much consistant training in around a year. Thats the key, consistancey...since we've had the kids that has been much tougher than I expected. You need to be flexable and creative with two little ones around. Now my goal is to build some fitness for some duathlons in the summer as well as gain some base for next ski season. Short term goal is to do 3 ski races(ouch!), Garland Glide, NSR Sprints, and the Mich Cup Relays. Long term is to be competitive in the Mich Cup, Top 30(top 20 would be great!). Ultimate goal is to GET HEALTHY! The last year my diet and exercise habits have been JUNK! I need to get serious about my diet and my training again.
So here it is:
- Get Healthy
- Do 3 Mich Cup Races
- Reduce weight to 165lbs(currently 179lbs)
- Build "Base" for 2007/2008 Mich Cup
- Score 850 Mich Cup points(07/08) + Relays
OK...I've wrote it down, now I have to do it :)
